Professional Synopsis
My name is Simon Holt and I am a video editor/graphic designer from Melbourne, Australia.

Since 1999 I have worked for Channel 1 Creative Media using a variety of media formats for clients projects. These formats include video editing, DVD authoring, graphic design, interactive media, motion graphics and even illustration. Clients include Nestle, BHP, Shell, Transfield, SCT, Jim’s Mowing & Reece.

In 2004, I started my own freelance business, midamedia. The focus for this business is mainly event videos and design.

In 2008 I will be based in the UK to persue a long-lasting dream of working in one of the biggest creative markets in the world.

Experience
1999 – present: Channel 1 Creative Media
My role mainly focusses on video editing and I have extensive experience in all types of video projects be it corporate, training, television commercials or television shows. My skills in DVD authoring and graphic design are also called upon on a regular basis, including brochure and catalogue design, promotional materials, identity & logos and websites. In 2006 I became a shareholder in the company.

2004-Present: midamedia
Seeing a market for professional, cost-effective, reliable event videography, I started my own freelance business which began mainly focussed on weddings. Over the years, this has also included many other personal and corporate events.

1998-1999: Atlantis Video
I completed a 6 month video editing apprenticeship here, but also combined my graphic design skills for many projects.
